Hello, I'm Beverley, an artist, illustrator and designer who lives in leafy Berkshire. Biscuit and Susie are my tearaway terriers, constant companions and artistic muses, inspiring much of my illustration and portrait work.
Drawing is one of my great passions. Apparently as soon as I was old enough to pick up a pencil I was drawing, carrying a sketch book around with me wherever I went. Back then I mainly drew people but since welcoming dogs into my life, capturing their beautiful expressions and playful personalities has become the main focus of my work. To me there is nothing better than taking my dogs out for a walk and seeing their unbridled joy, and also the happiness of the other dogs we meet along the way. I feel that all this has brought a new meaning to my work and capturing a dog's personality, whether that be in the pet portraiture or illustration work that I do, is something that comes naturally to me. I feel so fortunate that in my business I can combine my passion for drawing with my love of dogs. However, I love all animals and am more than willing to draw any pet! Besides pet portraits, I also sell a variety of beautiful prints of my illustrations in my shop. And I undertake illustration work, particularly for businesses looking for illustrative logos and illustrations for leaflets, menus, websites and children's book illustration. I have just completed the first draft of my own children's picture book which I wrote and illustrated myself.
